Saddle Forecast Terms of Use
Effective date: October 19, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and the developer of Saddle Forecast (“we”, “us”) for your use of the Saddle Forecast app for iPhone and Apple Watch, including its widgets, complications, and Siri shortcuts (the “app”).
The app is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple EULA”). These terms add to the Apple EULA. If the two conflict, the Apple EULA controls, except that sections 2 and 6 below apply in addition to it.
1. What the app does
Saddle Forecast compares weather forecasts with the riding limits you set and gives you a suggestion: Ride, Maybe, or Skip. Forecasts come from Apple Weather. The app’s suggestions are generated on your device by fixed rules; no person reviews them.
2. Use your own judgment
The app’s suggestions are for general information only and are not safety advice. Weather forecasts can be wrong, change quickly, and can’t account for local conditions such as road surface, ice, traffic, visibility, fallen trees, flooding, lightning, or air quality. A “Ride” suggestion does not mean conditions are safe, and a “Skip” suggestion does not mean they are dangerous.
You are solely responsible for deciding whether, when, and where to ride, for checking current conditions and official weather alerts yourself, for your equipment, and for riding safely and within the law. Cycling carries a risk of injury or death. Don’t use the app while riding.
3. Saddle Forecast Pro subscription
Some features require a Saddle Forecast Pro subscription, available monthly or yearly, at the prices shown in the app before you buy.
- Free trial. New subscribers may get a free trial (currently one week). If you don’t cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription starts and you are charged.
- Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
- Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Managing and canceling. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID’s account settings (Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions). Canceling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Price changes. If the price changes, Apple will notify you as its rules require, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
- Refunds. All purchases are handled by Apple. Refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com; we can’t issue refunds ourselves.
- Restoring. Use “Restore Purchases” in the app to restore an active subscription on a new device signed in to the same Apple ID.
We may add, change, or remove free and Pro features over time. If we remove a Pro feature that was a main reason for the subscription, you can cancel as described above.
4. Weather data
Weather data is provided by Apple Weather and its data sources, listed at the “Data sources” link in the app. We don’t guarantee that weather data will be accurate, complete, or available at any particular time.
5. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses. In short, your settings and Apple Health data stay on your devices, and we don’t collect personal information.
6. Disclaimers and limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- The app and all forecasts and suggestions are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your decision to ride or not ride, or from your reliance on the app, its forecasts, or its suggestions.
- Our total liability to you for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app and subscriptions in the 12 months before the claim.
Some places don’t allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived.
7. Acceptable use
Don’t copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app except as the Apple EULA or applicable law allows, and don’t use it in any unlawful way.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version with a new effective date, and for significant changes we’ll also say so in the app’s release notes. If you keep using the app after a change, the new terms apply.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your place of residence requires otherwise.
